Custom Design and Fabrication
Working for clients such as the Pacific National Exhibition and the Saskatchewan Agricultural Centre, I’ve created high-quality digital and physical products to help my clients engage their customer base. I also create small-scale, one-off custom pieces for individuals.
The ‘Water Table’
In the summer of 2023, I collaborated with Creative Others on a scale model of Vancouver’s North Shore to illustrate the workings of the water cycle for visitors to the Pacific National Exhibition.
My role in this project was to assist with detail work on the final model, taking responsibility for detail painting and for the resin pour to show where all the lakes and rivers run in the model.

Interactive Soil Exhibit
I collaborated with EDM Studios to build this interactive exhibit for the Saskatchewan Agricultural Centre. The client wanted an exhibit where youth and kids could “test” a soil sample. I was brought on to create a convincing false “soil” top. The specifications for the project were:

Long-lasting and hard to damage
Easy to clean, no mess
Smooth edges that wouldn’t scratch a child
I created multiple iterations on the false “soil” top out of walnut sawdust, earth, coffee grounds, and EcoPoxy resin. I also assisted with scripting the video that accompanied the exhibit, which was an extensive iterative design project involving writing age-appropriate copy, designing the UX flow of the touch-screen to accompany the exhibit, and recruiting youth to test the exhibit with us.
Critter Capers
I collaborated with Creative Others and Maddles Made to build the Critter Capers interactive pop-up for Metro Vancouver. This pop-up exhibit let youth in Metro Vancouver learn about local wildlife.
The boards were CNC’d from lightweight yet durable PVC panels, and custom graphic vinyls were applied. Several different hardware components were used on the boards to give them different mechanical movements for interaction.
I assisted with CNC fabrication, vinyl application, and interactive element troubleshooting on the project.
Custom Name Badges
In addition to my industrial fabrication work, I frequently take on custom work from individuals and smaller organizations. This client wanted 40 custom name badges made for their organization’s retreat. I worked with the client to make the vector file to their specification, laser engraved all the badges, and chose a magnetic backing as the best option for their needs.
